Loss Mitigation Department Don't Exist. TRUE!!! MyRecast became members of the Mortgage Bankers Assoc. to learn why the servicers were not working with our auditors and even the HUD specialist was put on hold for hours. MyRecast attended the week long conference in New Orleans Feb 2008 and second week long conference in Dallas March 2008 to learn more and more for the consumers. The other members and attendees to these meetings were servicers, lenders, wall street investors and trustees. The meetings were very private and no media was allowed in the meetings because of what they were talking about in the meetings. One subject that was obviously a big laugh to the servicers and lenders is called "Line 31". They have a nick name for the NON existing mitigation department. "Line 31" was created because it takes about 31 times for the consumers to call and leave 31 messages before they realized they are not going to get a call back from this non existing department. The meeting on this subject was a big laugh for the attendees of the week long meetings. Please read the blog to learn more....and ways the consumer can protect them selves.
